Impromptu trip to MI

On the Friday before President's Day at about 5PM we decided to go up to Michigan for the weekend and we got up there around 11PM.  We spent Saturday visiting with both Sean's Grandmas, Aunt Marilyn and little bit with Uncle Jim and Aunt Terrie.  At first we were going to go to Outback for dinner, but the wait (at 4 PM) was an hour and a half so instead we found the Sherwood Brewing Company just up the road which had no wait, great food, microbrew beer and free desert.  The service was a little slow, but not horrible.  Sean and I even got to go on a date that night to see Jupiter Ascending.  Sunday we visited Aunt Lynn, Uncle Mike, Joe and Jaclyn and then stopped to see Jason, Sarah and Avery (Sean's cousin and family).

Even though the temperatures were frigid, Fiona still went out to play in the snow for a bit on Saturday.  Even without a lot of toys, the girls did really good at staying entertained.  They got to see lots of animals at Lynn and Mike's on Sunday, including Jaclyn's pet rat Princess Daphne and Avery is Fiona's age so they had fun playing together.

I let Fiona take a couple pictures, including this one.  The others were blurry or of the floor, her leg or her foot.

We got home late on Sunday, which was fine since we had Monday off.  Sean had an appointment on Monday, that lined up with Ava's nap, so Fiona played a couple of games of Carcassonne with me.  She did pretty good for her first time playing.
