My mom came to visit us this past week and watched Fiona while Sean's parents were on vacation. The weather was really nice during the first part of the week so we spent much of Sunday gardening and went to the park again on Monday (Columbus Day). Mom and Fiona also went for a couple of walks and to the playground. It got cooler and rainy towards the end of the week so they did some art projects on Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday we stopped at the pumpkin patch (Young's) to pick out a pumpkin and have lunch before dropping my mom off at the airport.
Fiona was a pretty good helper. She found a bunch of rocks in the dirt for me and also tried to help me by rearranging the dirt. On a side note, sitting like that for extended periods when you're over 30 leads to a sore hip and leg the next day (or two). I should have used my kneepad more!
Fiona was showing Daddy the ladybug blanket. We had our snack outside that day.
The park has a children's maze. Fiona had fun chasing us (and being chased) around.
Watch your head!
Trying on my sunglasses.
She's tall enough to reach all three now (although the blue is on her tiptoes).
Fiona rubbed the paint around, then my mom used the paper to make a print of a flower.
She also had her hand traced and colored it "in". She drew a picture of dots for my mom.
On the wagon to head out to the pumpkin patch. It was very windy (blustery), but not too cold.
This pumpkin was Fiona approved.
