Saturday we spent most of the day with Grandma and Papa. They came over around lunch time and after Fiona's nap we all went for a hike at Hills and Dales Metropark. The weather wasn't too cold and the park has some nice walking paths. There was also a stream and waterfall to look at and lots of rocks and sticks to play with. Fiona kept saying "en garde" while holding a stick (something Grandma taught her).
Sunday we broke out the finger paints and Fiona went to town with the brush and her hands.
Monday we went to the playground near us and spent over an hour on the swing and slide, going up the steps (all by herself!), through the tunnel and playing with some of the little games (bells, spinning things with balls inside) that they have. There were a couple of other kids there, including one little girl that was about 3 months older than Fiona. Fiona picked up from her how to climb the stairs. The other little girl was very outgoing and wanted to use what Fiona had and Fiona would want to use what the older little girl had. Fiona talked to her a little and even gave a wave "hello."
