Saturday morning we went to the Magic Castle, which is a kid's play area. They have soft play, arcade games, and this Saturday it was our friends' son's birthday, so they had a birthday party. The kids got to play in the soft, then it was pizza, presents and cake, and finally they got to play around in the arcade area or go back in the soft play. Kids under 3 needed an adult or older sibling so Sean and I got to experience the not-built-for-adults (but still manageable) fun of crawling through tunnels, climbing nets, and going down slides.
Saturday evening my bowling team had our end-of-season picnic at the team captain's house. One of my teammates has a little girl that's 2 also (Maddie) so her and Fiona enjoyed playing in the rocks together. The area with the rocks was a little wet so some stuck to Fiona's hand; she didn't realize this and stuck her hand in her mouth without realizing it so she got a mouth full of dirt (which she didn't like, no crying about it, but definitely didn't like it). She didn't get too much so it was pretty easy to clean out.
Sunday we went to the carnival that's in town for the week. Sean got some coupons for it and we thought it'd be fun -- and it was. Jennifer and Caitlin met us up there also for awhile. Fiona went on every ride that she was tall enough for (most twice), including spinning rides, up-in-the-air rides, train and car rides, and the carousel. Caitlin enjoyed watching the rides go around. I saw lots of clapping, leg-kicking, and chair dancing.
Again, not quite made for adults.
Time to ditch Mom and go solo.
Trying out the yellow truck. The door wasn't lacked tight so every time the ride went around the corner the door would open and every time it did Fiona would reach out and pull it closed again.

She commented multiple times that this ride was fun and went up high.
