Fiona, the bumble bee, and Caitlin, the owl. Even with two long sleeve shirts, tights, and pants on, Fiona ended up wearing her winter coat over her costume, with the hood up and the antennae off.
I figure this is a good way to share the experiences of our kids with out-of-town family and friends.

Trick or Treat!
Our trick or treating got moved to Saturday (11/3) this year, instead of the usual Beggar's Night on 10/30, because of the wind, rain, and cold from Sandy. Although Saturday wasn't much nicer. We still had the rain and cold, just no wind, but Fiona was very excited to go trick or treating so we went anyways. She had been practicing saying "trick or treat!" for about the entire month of October. I told her she had to say it loud so the people could hear her. However when we were actually out she got shy and managed to say it quietly at one house. For all the rest of the houses I said it and then she'd say "thank you" when she got candy. We made it to about a dozen houses or so total in Chris and Jen's neighborhood, at which point we were wet, even with umbrellas, and cold so we called it a night. Fiona still had fun and has enjoyed the candy, as have her parents. :)
