Fiona had off the first Friday in November (conferences/Veteran's Day observed) so both girls got to go roller skating and had a blast. Ava wore skates for the first time and went from barely moving to using the skatemate to moving without holding anything. She's very determined. Of course she fell more times than I could count (and got a bruised butt), but kept getting back up and trying again. Fiona also skated a lot and did great skating on her own.
Also here's a couple of cute 'around the house' pictures.
Yum, blueberries!
Enjoying my Veteran's Day lunch. Fiona had school, but Sean and I had off.
Had beautiful weather on our day off. Fiona had fun in the leaves (while Ava napped).
And while I think of it, here are a couple of recent changes.
Ava loves doing puzzles and 'homework.' which is any kind of writing, coloring, cutting, etc. She also loves riding her Dora trike and the scooter, playing on the playground, and going on runs with Mama (she cried when she had to stay home on Wed). She started wearing underwear all day during the day on Tuesday after several days of dry diapers all day. She stills has accidents and wears a diaper at night, but we're super excited and very proud of her.
Fiona is continuing to enjoy school. She is constantly asking how words are spelled, wants to practice writing, wants to learn cursive, tries to sound out words, recognizes quite a few sight words, and got a certificate for counting to 100 (on Thursday). She is also very silly and full of energy. She frequently hangs on furniture and other things she shouldn't, which drives me nuts and gets her scolded. She also loves to sing, color, draw, play on the playground, and ride her bike (with the training wheels). She helps me cook sometimes and makes her bed fairly frequently (without us asking, but with the expectation of a treat/candy). She just had a dental checkup with no cavities and 2 new molars completely in and 2 more partially in, but no loose teeth yet.
