We had Fiona's 18 month check up yesterday. She did really good (at not crying or fussing) when the nurse weighed and measured her, and also when the doctor listened to her heart and checked out her eyes, ears, etc. She only started fussing when we had to lay her down to check her tummy and of course for her shot (only one this time). Plus they drew blood again to check her lead level (all normal!), which she didn't start crying until the very end. I was SO proud of her. I would have freaked out much sooner and possibly passed out.
Nothing really to report...she's doing great with her gross and fine motor skills. She still has trouble with the b words (like bye and bear!), but her comprehension is great and she knows a bunch of words and a couple of phrases so the doctor wasn't worried. Just in the last week she started saying Mama (yay!) and today she said bruise (she had one on her leg) and "I went toots" after she had tooted (very cute coming from a toddler, not so cute from her dad...haha).
