The plan was to go to the Canyonland's Needles District to hike on Friday, but constant 30-40 mph winds (with gusts up to 60 mph) made us decide not to do that. Instead we went to the Hole 'N The Rock south of town (to get our fill of tourist trap and ice cream), then back to town shop some more and grab some food. Bob and Carol went with Charlie and Dorothy for lunch while Sean and I decided to spend some time alone (with Fiona of course). We drove to see some petroglyphs just outside of town, since I didn't get to see any on Wednesday, and then decided to get a late lunch at La Hacienda. After lunch we stopped by the Moab Community Park (playground), but I was a little warm so we thought we go back to the condo to use the pool. While it was nice in town, out by the condo the winds were whipping so the pool was closed. Instead we just hung out at the condo and packed up.

View of our condo Friday afternoon.
So dusty you could barely see the mountains.
Jeep made out of license plates and old tools.
A real-life Tow-mater.
Such a cute couple.
Helicoptor ride (that was as much fun to sit in as to actually ride in).
Indian rock art (aka petroglyphs).
Cowboy rock art.
Live lizard climbing the rock.
Lizard petroglyph nearby.
Having fun at the Moab playground. It wasn't very windy in town and a little warm so we decided to go back to the condo to use the pool. It didn't work out though; it was too windy by the condo to have the pool open.
We got on the road around 7:30 Saturday morning and made it to Salina by about 10:30 (Central) Saturday night. Sunday we got on the road around 7:45 AM and made it home at 11:30 PM (Eastern). Fiona did great and once again earned Road Warrior status. Her sleep schedule was out of whack thanks to the time changes, but after a week now we're back to her old schedule.
Bye-bye Moab. Hope to see you again soon.
"Cleaning" Suzi with tissues and spit (aka spitballs)...at least Suzi has clothes on.
Yep, Kansas is still boring...

Whoever is in the back behind Fiona with the binoculars finds something interesting about Kansas!
