Auntie-time!!

Donna and Margaret came to visit the weekend of June 22nd and 23rd.  We ended up spending most of Saturday outside.  In the morning Donna and Fiona did the first part of an art project to make a garden stone (mixing the plaster and pouring it in the mold, plus writing in the plaster and sticking in some fancy stones).  They painted it Sunday morning before Donna had to leave, which was the final step.

The final product

Then once everyone was up and dressed on Saturday, Donna, Margaret and Fiona went to the playground.  It was a little hot in the sun so they played chalk under the shelter.  Ava and I showed up a little later and found them doing this...

They drew lots of dresses - one for Fiona, one for Ava, one for Donna and one for Margaret.

Then shapes and mitten handprints.

Ava hung out and watched.

After lunch we went to an open house for the new location of our chiropractor/acupuncturist.  It's on this gorgeous farm, a very peaceful setting.  They even have a man-made pond with a hammock and a dock.  Then we headed to the splashpark.  We had told Fiona in the morning that we'd be going there so she was very excited.  She was leery to go in the water by herself, but with Donna and Margaret with her she got braver and actually got pretty wet.  By then it was time for dinner and we were all worn out (at least the grown-ups were).

My head looks awkward, but everyone else is smiling AND looking at the camera!

Then Fiona went on it by herself.

Fiona just (barely) stuck her hands in the water at first.

Ava on the sidelines wanted to get in on the action.

So Sean stuck her feet in the water.  She LOVED it.

Towards the end Fiona was running under the rainbow and letting the water splash on her (as long as Donna and Margaret were with her).
