Well, the title for the post could definitely use work, but it accurately describes the topic for this post, so I'm sticking with it. Mom came to visit for 10 days at the end of August, from Tues the 13th until Friday the 23rd. We had an appointment on Tues near the airport, but had a little time to kill after lunch so we stopped by a playground that was on my nav. It was by an elementary school and actually had functional teeter-totters!
Fiona was very excited to do art projects with Grandma Rose, so it was great that my mom had a bunch of different ideas. They drew with chalk outside, made butterflies (Mom cut out the shape and Fiona glued the dots), painted fish, glued tissue paper flowers on paper (picture unavailable), and made a garden project with dirt and flowers from Fiona's garden.
Ava had fun with Grandma Rose too, and got her picture taken a lot. These are some that I thought were cute.
The weather was nice so they were able to go outside. Fiona showed off her garden, and of course they went for walks and to the playground.
A bird flew into our window. Fiona just touched it with one finger.
Fiona's big enough now to get up the red steps (not the ladder that's pictured) on her own, but still needed help with these steps. She can also go head first down the tunnel slide, climb back up without help, and get off (it's a few feet up) by herself.
Fiona also had fun inside, playing with her dolls and goofing off with her Mama and Ava.
